Description

Thankfully, Bandit was equipped with better reflexes than Omi feared. He managed to quickly pull her to his front, mid air, and succeeded in moving her before he landed, somewhat, flat on his back. (Very painful when you're a Kecleon mind you...) He held Omi unharmed, and safe in his arms. She recovered relatively fast and sat up from her lying position on his chest. At first her expression seemed shocked, obviously she had been shaken, but then she looked very angry. The effect of her anger was nullified slightly though with her face still streaked with tears, and her usually white face red from crying.

"WHY. ARE. WE. LEAVING!" She choked on her own screams and tears, which quickly turned into violent coughing. Bandit rubbed her back soothingly trying to comfort her, but she only began to beat down onto his chest with her small paws since she could no longer vent out her frustration with her voice. She was very upset, or rather distraught. Bandit was at a loss for words and tried to think of something, it became harder when she started to cry anew.

"Why won't you tell me! Why, why, WHY?" She was thrown into another coughing fit.

"Omi," Bandit sat up, igonring the pain caused by falling onto his spines, and held her against him and let her wet his belly with tears. He wanted to think of something meaningful to say, something he hoped could make up for all this, but all that came out was: "I'm sorry..." Words he didn’t feel at all satisfied with.

She didn’t say anything at first. He could see that what she was trying to do was will herself to calm down. Her breathing started to even out, Bandit was relieved.

"Why...?" She looked up at him with her watery eyes, less angry now and more pleading. Bandit swore if he had lips and teeth to bite them with they'd be bleeding right now.

He wanted to tell her that it was all necessary, leaving the city, hiding in the forest and now making a run for it like they were. That they had to leave, he tried to assure her and explain it to her without telling her the actual truth behind the ordeal. She just wouldn't take it though, she wanted a straight answer. Bandit just couldn't though, he sat there for three whole minutes, gazing at his pitiful partner, before he realized he simply couldn't say it. He physically couldn't voice to the one constant, the one good company in his life, of the tragedy he had committed.

However he found himself against his better will, lifting his a small claw which was colored more darkly than the other. Omi was sharp, she could tell what it was, and she could put two and two together afterward.

This time Omi looked, really looked. She didn't want to believe that Bandit would have been capable of doing such a thing. Then again, what had she expected a bloody claw meant? Most of the blood was gone by now though, how long had it been since they ran away and left Almolomla? Two days maybe? Ya that sounded right. His claw was still tarnished looking, it honestly looked more like dirt smudges, but it certainly didn't smell like dirt. Omi could smell the blood on his claw as clear as a Luxray could see his prey in the dark.

"Who?" It was quiet, moreso even than a whisper. It was involuntarily spoken; Omi didn't move, nor say anything more, and Bandit didn't speak either. They decided silently that neither wanted to ask nor answer that impending question. So everything fell silent.

Omi sniffled, a sizable droplet of rain had fallen onto her brown nose. A few fell atop Bandit's head, and they both gazed up and notice the dark clouds beginning to empty their heavy contents of rain. It was pouring rather loudly in a matter of minutes.

Bandit decided it was probably best to continue on.

"Common Omi," Bandit stood and held a hand out to her. He seemed tired in some non physical way now, but he knew that the faster they reached their destination, the faster he could rest. "time to keep goin’."

"Where?" Omi was shrugged over onto her place upon his back. She held onto his bandana again, this time without the ill intent of choking him.

"Tao. We're headed to Tao Village." Bandit gave a brief look out behind them, nothing was there that he could discern past the sheet of falling rain. Good. Either Toulouse had turned back or made a wrong turn, either possibility was fine by him. He didn't care what happened to that annoying jellyfish so long as they tracked to their destination.

Bandit paced himself at first, as he moved forwards, then shifted to a run just before he dropped down onto all fours again. They still had a decent trip ahead of them, and from the looks of it, it was going to be raining for some time.
